Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is the massage modality targets specific areas of the body that are blocked or ischemic (have an inadequate supply of blood).
What we call 'knots' are cause of discomfort and sometimes even lack of mobility. Deep tissue massage pressure is deeper than Swedish massage.
Deep Tissue Massage works on releasing the tension located in deeper muscle layers. Deep tissue massage applies direct pressure in the direction of muscle fibers to 'unblock' the affected area. This allows healthy blood flow back into the deeper tissues that need it.
Deep tissue massage is recommended for chronic contracted areas such as stiff neck, tight shoulders, lower back tightness and sore muscles due to extreme physical athletic performance. DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
